Mediterranean cuisine is one of my great passions! I’ve lived and worked around the Mediterranean sea for quite a few years and the cuisine is very close to my heart. The food is honest and simple. Born from the cultures bordering the Mediterranean Sea, this region spans a wide variety of cultures, historical connections of the region have led to there being many common elements in the foods. Abounding culture along with a great deal of food history, the nations on the shores of the brilliant azure Mediterranean Sea- Greece, Cyprus Lebanon, Syria, Italy, Spain, France, Morocco, Turkey and Israel- have all contributed something special to the colourful, vibrant tapestry that is Mediterranean gastronomy.

Key elements of Mediterranean cuisine include fresh herbs, olive oil, legumes, fish and whole grains with modest amounts of wine and red meat. The colours are vivid and the flavors are rich, furthermore the health benefits for people choosing this diet are difficult to overlook. They are less likely to develop high blood pressure, high cholesterol or become obese. My recipes feature delicious and wholesome dishes that evoke the essence of the region.
